Canon Xti Flash Shoe issue…

Broke the flash shoe on my camera a couple of months ago when the camera accidentally fell and landed mainly on the flash, which caused the shoe to bend upwards at an awkward angle. I also got very expensive quotations from various repair shop.
Decided to google today and find out if someone else had a similar issue. Found this website.
I’ve posted pictures of my camera before and after l implemented the fix. The camera works great in sync with my Canon Speedlite 430ex flash which is essencial to me for filling in good raw pictures.
Here’s the link.

Deleting a SQL Server maintenance plan….

If you keep getting this error:
The DELETE statement conflicted with the REFERENCE constraint “FK_subplan_job_id”. The conflict occurred in database “msdb”, table “dbo.sysmaintplan_subplans”, column ‘job_id’.
The statement has been terminated. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 547)

RUN:
(1)
Use MSDB
GO
Delete from sysmaintplan_subplans
Where subplan_name = ‘xyz’
GO

If theres a reference error to sysmaintplan_log, first get the subplan_id
(2)
SELECT
[subplan_id]
–,[subplan_name]
–,[subplan_description]
–,[plan_id]
–,[job_id]
–,[schedule_id]
–,[msx_job_id]
–,[msx_plan]
FROM [msdb].[dbo].[sysmaintplan_subplans]

then RUN:
Use MSDB
GO
Delete from sysmaintplan_log
Where subplan_id = ‘0805BDF5-4A25-4175-8D3E-D6B041714D30’
GO

(above subplan_id was from my server)

Then run query #1 again.

Internet Explorer 8….

Installed this on my laptop and workstation.
I visited Wellsfargo online banking and immediately got a warning that it only supports the older browser, IE7 or Firefox 3. I could not go on further, and either have to use firefox which l have installed or re-install IE7.
Then l remembered that IE8 offers a compatibility mode, so l simply added wellsfargo.com to my list of sites under this option and bingo – it worked! l could use the banks website from IE8!

Error: Connect to SSIS Service on machine “” failed:

On a new instalaltion of SQL Server 2008, running on Windows Server 2008, l cannot connect to SSIS from SSMS (Sql server management console) 2008 running on a client workstation. I can connect from the local server end.
I tried adding the users Group to the permissions option on Component Services/MsdtsServer100 as suggested by many sites since this problem is common also in SSIS/Sql Server 2005. This didnt work.
Solution was to add the user group to the Windows Server Distributed COM Users group.
