Exploring Adobe CC

Tried out the latest versions of Adobe Creative cloud – CC, and l must say l am impressed over the new features and capabilities compared to the former Photoshop CS6, Lightroom etc.

Had about 16Gb 7800 files of HD/UHD pictures and videos from a recent vacation, using 3 cameras – 7DM2, Sony A7 and for UHD 4K videos the Panasonic Lumix G85 – Unfortunately l could not get Adobe CS6 Photoshop using Camera Raw 9.x.x to accept the Lumix RW2 [I only shoot pictures in RAW] images, and using the versatile Adobe DNG converter – which works – was a workflow step l didnt want to go through.
Solution, l downloaded a trial version of Adobe CC Photoshop, which came witht he laterst Camera Raw 10.x.x and both Photoshop/Lightroom opened and processed all Lumix files seamlessly.

Canon Xti Flash Shoe issue…

Broke the flash shoe on my camera a couple of months ago when the camera accidentally fell and landed mainly on the flash, which caused the shoe to bend upwards at an awkward angle. I also got very expensive quotations from various repair shop.
Decided to google today and find out if someone else had a similar issue. Found this website.
I’ve posted pictures of my camera before and after l implemented the fix. The camera works great in sync with my Canon Speedlite 430ex flash which is essencial to me for filling in good raw pictures.
Here’s the link.
